After a long wait, the 2019/20 Fife Amateur Cup Final got underway at Bayview Stadium.

In a match that took almost 18 months to be played due to Covid-19, Strathmiglo United AFC and Leven United AFC took to the field with sheer delgiht and determination to take advantage of this eagerly awaited ccup final.

It wasn't long unitl the ball was in the back of the net, with Strhmiglo going a goal up after a stunning half footed volley inside the box from a lovely counter attacking move. 

Leven Unted equalised ten minutes later from a corner, with a leaping header from the back post. Though their over enthusiastic number 8 would pick up two qick succesion yellow cards before half-time, which seemed to put a spanner in the works of a potential comeback.

And how wrong the assumed crowd were. The second half would see a ten man midfield fight for every ball and inch of grass. Efforts and desire were all too much for Strathmiglo as Leven United remarkebly finished the match as 5-2 winners.
