David McEwan: Goalkeeper (Larkhall Thistle AFC) Age: 34
Extensive senior experience with Hamilton Accies, Alloa Athletic, Livingston and Dumbarton. A formidable, commanding and vocal presence in the penalty box. Excellent shot stopper and great organiser.
Stuart Wilson: Goalkeeper (Gartcosh United AFC) Age: 25
An assured keeper, exceptionally comfortable on the ball and happy to operate as a sweeper well beyond the confines of his area. Great reflexes and shot stopper.
Michael Brown: Defender/Midfield (Colville Park AFC) Age 32
‘Mr Dependable’. Usually plays in one of the full back positions, but equally comfortable anywhere along the backline or in midfield. Experienced internationalist, pacy and loves to surge forward. A natural leader.
Robbie Peebles: Defender/Midfield (Colville Park AFC) Age 26
Experienced internationalist. An attacking full back, equally comfortable in midfield role. Strong in the tackle and another who likes to support the attack. This season a prolific scorer with his club.
Steven Greenlees: Central Defender (Greenock High School FP) Age 26
Bedrock of the Scotland backline. Calm and composed on the ball. Strong aerial presence both in defence and attack. Reads the game well and tackles strongly.
Andrew McGown: Defender (Bannockburn AFC) Age 26
Left-sided player, comfortable in the heart of the defence or at full back. Strong tackling and composed under pressure. Another who can spray passes from deep positions. Commanding in the air and threat at set pieces.
Tony Jaconnelli: Central Defender (Craigshill Thistle AFC) Age 32
First season with the Select. Vastly experienced and assured defender. Strong and pacy player, composed under pressure. Seeks every opportunity to build from the back.
Scott Methven: Full Back (Leven United) Age 21
Scott broke into the international side this season and has impressed in the left back position Cultured left foot. Calm under pressure. Strong in the tackle and surges forward at every opportunity.
Gary Currie: Midfield (Bannockburn AFC) Age 24
Midfield. Now an established member of the Select. Highly skilful and pacy. Comfortable in centre or in wide position. Excellent scoring record with late runs into box.
Kenny McLellan: Midfield (Bannockburn AFC) Age 33
Centre Midfield. Composed and assured under pressure. Strong in the tackle and can spray passes from deep positions. Anchors the midfield area and links play effectively. Calmness personified.
Paul McCracken: Midfield (Craigshill Thistle AFC) Age 27
Another in his first season with the Select. Commanding midfield presence. Strong tackler and dominant in the air. Seeks every opportunity to support the attack. A real threat at set pieces.
Niall McClure: Midfield (Doune Castle AFC) Age 26
An experienced internationalist. Midfield powerhouse and real box-to-box player. Links defence and attack effectively with surging runs and astute passing. Strong in the air and offers a real threat at set pieces.
Craig Connell: Midfield (KSC Wolves AFC) Age 25
Craig broke into the international squad this season and has impressed with his vision and passing ability. A cool head under pressure and a threat at set pieces. Calm finisher.
Sean Heaver: Forward (Doune Castle AFC) Age 23
In his second season with the Select. Lightning quick and comfortable on either flank. Loves to attack at pace. Skilful dribbler with a powerful shot. A constant threat to defences and prolific scorer with his club.
Paul McAulay: Forward (Colville Park AFC) Age 28
Experienced internationalist. Offers real goal threat. Loves to drift in from a wide area. Skilful dribbler whose close control often creates openings for those around him. Confident finisher with great energy.
David Swan: Forward (Craigshill Thistle AFC) Age 23
A diminutive powerhouse and natural finisher. Comfortable operating on the flank or through the middle. A permanent threat for any defence. Electric pace. Dribbling and finishing skills second to none.
David McKay: Forward (Colville Park AFC) Age 31
Vastly experienced internationalist and a constant thorn in the flesh of any defence at any level. One of the amateur game’s most deadly finishers. Lightning quick in the box. A real penalty box predator.
Kevin Fotheringham: Forward (Colville Park AFC) Age 27
Another experienced internationalist. Recently returned to the amateur game after enjoying period in the senior game with Queen’s Park. An elusive and potent striker with uncanny ability to drift away from defenders. Composed and confident finisher. Major threat at set pieces.
