As is now tradition, the Executive and Finance Committee of the Scottish Amateur FA attended todays Highland and Island District AGM including the draw for the 2026 Highland Amateur Cup.
The Highland Amateur Cup is a long-standing football tournament in the north of Scotland. It was created to provide competitive opportunities for amateur clubs across the Highlands and Islands, and over time it has become one of the most prestigious amateur competitions in the region. The cup has seen periods of interruption, particularly during the World Wars, but has consistently returned as a key fixture in the local football calendar. Known for its strong community involvement and fierce regional rivalries, the competition highlights the passion and tradition of grassroots football in Scotland, with clubs from remote and rural areas often competing for the title of Highland Amateur Cup Champions.
