My name is Derek Todd and I am the Chairperson of Glasgow Deaf Athletic Football Club, the Oldest Deaf Football Club in the World since 1871/1872. I am emailing you on behalf of Great Britain Deaf Football Men Team Manager who is requesting Friendlies. I would be most grateful if you could help us out by forwarding this email on to your contacts list / database from your Association, whether it's Junior, Youth or Amateur. Your time and support is most grateful. They would like a Friendly on Saturday 8 November 2008 at 1.00pm or 2.00pm Kick-off and Sunday 9 November 2008 at 1.00pm or 2.00pm Kick-off with Football Clubs from either Junior, Youth or Amateur Level, but they are looking for a challenge to get their Players to develop and improve their skills. Great Britain Deaf Football Men Team are preparing for their Deaflympics 2009 Campaign by participating in Deaflympics Taipei Taiwan in September 2009. They are organising Training Weekends every month around UK and wants Glasgow / Central Belt (Scotland) to be part of the Training Programme. Most of their Players ages ranges between 16 to early 20s with few late 20s. It can be either 1st Team or Reserve Team as long they get a good Friendly Match, whether it's win, lose or draw but most importantly giving them the opportunity to play against such good Players / Clubs. They are happy to play at the Club Home whoever is available or if not, then we will arrange a Pitch for you. We are looking at Clubs in areas such as Glasgow, Lanarkshire, West Scotland, Central Scotland but mainly near Glasgow due to Transports, etc. Clubs can also be from the Scottish League as well as many have Reserve Teams. If any Club is available, then I would be most grateful if you could get in touch with me ASAP by emailing me on: glasgowdeafafc@hotmail.com or SMS me on: 07811-432572. Should you have any questions or issues, please don't hesitate to email me. Yours in Football Derek (',) GDAFC Chairperson |
