The SAFA Vision
Added On:11/28/2007 11:45:45 AM

Dear Members,

The Scottish Amateur Football Association has a vision to support and develop amateur football in Scotland.

The significance and importance of Scottish amateur football has often been overlooked. It is something that helps build individual fitness and esteem as well as developing leadership and team-building skills. It is something that provides a positive community focus in urban and rural areas alike. In essence, amateur football is a fundamental aspect of Scottish society played by and supported by tens of thousands of people each week.

The SAFA has specific aims which we are endeavouring to reach to raise the profile of Scottish amateur football including;

Improving participation in the playing of the sport

Improving organisational structures

Improving grounds and facilities

Encouraging volunteers and support

As President of the SAFA, I will do my best to ensure we pursue and achieve these goals and further the development of amateur football in Scotland.

Thank you for your support.

Regards,

Gus MacKay

President SAFA
