James Thomson (Presidents Award 2016)

Immediate Past President of the Perthshire AFA James Thomson was awarded the Scottish Amateur FA Presidents Award last night (Monday 21st November) for his services to Amateur Football in Scotland.

 

 

Pictured and receiving the award from Scottish Amateur FA Vice President Stuart Urquhart. James previously held office of Vice President for 10 years from 1982 until 1992 with the Perthshire AFA and a total of 43 years with the Association.

 

 

James also was a playing member with Perthshire AFA's Glendoick AFC and Errol AFC during the 1960's. He then became invloved with Bridge of Earn AFC and was instrumental in reforming the club and organising a consituted committee with Bridge of Earn AFC during the early 1970's, a connection which remains to this day.
