Cambria AFC 50th Anniversary Celebration

Cambria AFC are proud to announce a special landmark in the history of the club as they celebrate their 50th year as an established amateur club.

Founded in 1965, the club was formed as a place for Strathclyde University graduates to continue playing after completing their studies and the club has maintained this link ever since. The club has grown to run 2 teams and currently play in the Caledonian AFL and Greater Glasgow Premier League.

A season of celebrations culminates in a 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner to be held on Friday 20th November 2015 at Cadder Freestone Social Club in Bishopbriggs. Entertainment on the night will be in the form of two stellar speakers - former St Mirren, West Ham United and Celtic striker, Frank McAvennie who will be joined by Forfar Athletic manager, Dick Campbell. The evening will be compered by former Grade 1 referee, Brian McGinlay.
