John Clarke (picture) was awarded the Grass Roots Adult Volunteer of the year Award by the SFA South East Region.

John started Tynecastle Star in the Edinburgh Amateur FA some 50 years ago this coming August and has had an unbroken connection to the club throughout this time serving in various capacities at the club, which is now integrated into Tynecastle FC community setup. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Edinburgh Amateur FA for many years, has also been Vice President of the Lothian & Edinburgh AFA since 2001/02 and has served on the Eastern District Executive Committee of the Scottish Amateur FA since 2010 as well as being a Council Member of the Scottish Amateur FA.
